Contrary Motion was Wooller's first solo exhibition. The work explores notions of momento mori through film, plaster, paper and the fold. 7000 Days is a personal tribute to the artist's mother, 8m of paper with over 7000 individually formed creases, signifying each day lived without her. Pre-Figured is a projection-based illusion, presenting a classic momento mori - the broken plaque - which, however, is not what it seems. Uninvited Guests is an installation of crumpled open paper bags, which asks the question, what are they waiting for? or perhaps, what have they lost?
